As I am in the third trimester of my first pregnancy I have been seeking extra encouragement from scripture to get me through. I am blessed to have had a healthy pregnancy so far despite a gestational diabetes diagnosis at 27 weeks, God's hands have been over my son. Since this is my first pregnancy there have been so many ups and downs mentally, emotionally and physically as I nagivate through these changes and thoughts about what's to come. I have watched countless of birth videos and taken the birth classes, but I will be honest and say fear does strike from time to time but I know God is with me.
Whether you are an experienced mama, expecting a child, or you are praying for a child, these scriptures are perfect to meditate on in prayer, during pregnancy, during labor, and after birth. I have even created images you can save so you can always have them with you!
James 1:17
"Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows."

Isaiah 41:10
"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand"

Matthew 11:28
"Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest."

Psalm 127: 3
"Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from Him."

Psalm 71:6
"From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother's womb. I will ever praise you."

John 16:21
"A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world."

1 Samuel 1:27
"I prayed for this child, and the Lord has granted me what I asked of Him."

Psalm 139: 13
"For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb."

1 Timothy 2:15
"But women will be saved through childbearing- if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety."

Romans 8:18
"I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us."

Jeremiah 29:11
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Psalm 40:1
"I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry."

I pray these verses have been able to encourage you today. I am praying over every mama out there, every expectant mama, and those praying for a blessing out there. Comment below your favorite verse (doesn't have to be one I included)
